The product is a mature, ready to plant Bird of Paradise Plant growing in an approximate 6 Inch diameter pot. The plant will be a minimum of 10 to 12 inches tall. It will not have buds or blooms on arrival.

• This is a more mature size of the scarce and very popular Bird of Paradise, Mandelas Gold. This cultivar results from several years of work by renowned African hybridizers. It has the same lush banana-like leaves and mature height of a little above 3 feet, but it is the striking large, golden and vivid violet blue flowers nestled into a long red sepal that make it so appealing.
• This cultivar is uniquely beautiful, producing large, bird-shaped flowers with stunning sunny golden petals and highly contrasted blue and purple accents. The flowers are remarkably stable for the species and it typically produces the same flower dependably and repeatedly once it begins to flower. Patience is required as plants may take a few months to a few years to begin the first bloom cycle. Once blooming begins, the cycles are long lasting and begin to occur at more regular intervals.
• Care: This is a low-maintenance plant that is easy to grow in a location with full sun to partial shade. It requires a well-drained soil or potting mix and consistent watering. Prune to remove dead foliage and old flower stalks to encourage new growth. Please note: This plant will not produce flowers until it has reached full maturity and has a well-developed root system.
